Chris Jericho isn’t showing up on AEW Dynamite this week and it’s due to the fact that he’s in New York right now, working on a TV project.
According to PWInsider on April 28, Chris Jericho will not be part of the April 29th episode of AEW Dynamite in Fairfax, Virginia, as he’s currently in New York City working on a television project.
This comes right in the middle of his ongoing feud with Ricochet and The Demand, where tensions have been escalating week after week. Jericho recently returned on Dynamite and got personal fast, taking multiple shots at Ricochet during an in-ring segment following their match at AEW Dynasty. Things turned physical soon after, with Ricochet’s allies jumping Jericho and leaving him laid out in the ring.
The rivalry didn’t cool off either. On last week’s episode of AEW Collision, Jericho ended up getting pinned by Ricochet in a tag team match, keeping the momentum firmly on Ricochet’s side.
Now, with Chris Jericho off TV this week due to outside commitments, it temporarily pauses his on-screen presence, but it doesn’t take away from the ongoing storyline. There’s no word yet on when he’ll be back, but with the feud still active and unfinished, his return is expected sooner rather than later once filming wraps.
Do you think Chris Jericho stepping away this week will hurt the momentum of his feud with Ricochet, or could it actually build more anticipation for his return? Let me know your thoughts.
