Caio Borralho went looking for Dricus du Plessis in South Africa, and he got a response.
Borralho has been calling for a clash with the former UFC Middleweight Champion. So far, there has been little movement, and the Fighting Nerds representative is getting impatient. Borralho took a trip to Johannesburg and trolled du Plessis on social media (via MMAMania).
“Where is Dricus?” Borralho asked a statue in Johannesburg, South Africa. “Do you know where he is? No words from him. I was in Brazil, and now I’m here looking for Dricus … I just cannot find him. No response.”
It didn’t take long for “Stillknocks” to respond by offering a spar at his gym.
“Come to @cit_performanceinstitute then we spar we can record it if you want,“ Du Plessis offered in response.
Borralho wasn’t interested in that idea, suggesting a prize fight between the two inside the Octagon.
“Stop being a little kid, just sign the contract bro.”
In response, du Plessis hinted that the UFC brass isn’t interested in booking him to face Borralho.
“What contract?” Du Plessis wrote back. “You actually think you’re in the conversation? Come to the gym I’m like a 30 [minute] drive from you, let’s see if you’re at least man enough to show up, we start at 9AM Friday.”
Back in Aug. 2025, du Plessis lost the UFC Middleweight Championship to Khamzat Chimaev in a one-sided unanimous decision. He hasn’t fought since, but he insists he’s itching to get back to action.
As for Borralho, he recently rebounded from his first loss under the UFC banner. After dropping a unanimous decision to Nassourdine Imavov, Borralho bounced back with a win over Reinier de Ridder.
