Anna Jay is set to return to AEW programming after being out since November, and she will step right into a championship opportunity.
Jay is scheduled to compete this Saturday on AEW Collision in Peoria, Illinois, where she will challenge Willow Nightingale for the TNT Championship. Nightingale has recently defended the title against returning competitors, including Hikaru Shida, Kamille, and Queen Aminata.
Jay and Nightingale have previously shared the ring multiple times in AEW, with their last singles match taking place in November 2022. It remains unclear whether Jay has signed a new contract with AEW, as earlier reports indicated her deal was set to expire in the spring.
The show will also feature several additional matches.
Jack Perry will defend the AEW National Championship against Máscara Dorada in a first-time meeting.
Following his defense against MJF on 4/29 AEW Dynamite, Kevin Knight is set to put his title on the line against Hook in another first-time matchup.
A ten-man tag team match is also scheduled, featuring Jon Moxley, PAC, and Claudio Castagnoli teaming with David Finlay and Clark Connors. They will face a combined team of The Rascalz and Top Flight.
Another tag match will see Wheeler Yuta and Daniel Garcia take on Juice Robinson and Ace Austin.
Jay’s return adds a title match to the show and places her back into a key position immediately after her absence.
