MJF Responds to Carlos Silva’s Comments About Pulling TNA Talents from Indies Bookings

As noted before, TNA Wrestling recently changed their policy no longer allowing contracted TNA talents to work on the same indies shows as AEW talents, specifically in regards to matches involving TNA talents competing against contracted AEW talents. Among the matches pulled included MJF’s match against Nic Nemeth for Create-A-Pro’s event on May 1st and an unannounced match against Bear Bronson for an event for Game Changer Wrestling this past March.

MJF recently responded on Twitter to comments made by TNA Carlos Silva about his decision to pull TNA talent from indies bookings if it involves them being booked in matches against AEW talent regardless if it was given prior approval. MJF’s response was made prior to his scheduled match against Kevin Knight for the TNT Championship at Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show in Fairfax, Virginia.

“I think it’s cool that you can just lie.

my turn.

I think Kevin knight has a shot at beating me at 8pm sharp and I also think Darby Allin is a GREAT champion.

🙄”

Chris Jericho Reveals How He Landed Role on “Margo’s Got Money Troubles” TV Series

Chris Jericho is among the cast of the new Margo’s Got Money Trouble comedy drama television series on Apple TV. Jericho portrays himself in the television series.

A recent episode of the Talk Is Jericho podcast featured host Jericho revealing that he initially auditioned for the role of Jinx, who is a former pro wrestler and father of Margo, that is portrayed by Nick Offerman on the series.

“It’s weird enough playing myself, but it’s kind of cool. Nick and Nicole, how could you not be cool with this? I actually auditioned for the part that Nick plays. They liked my read. ‘Let’s have him do something in this scene more than just a background.’ That’s how all that came about.”

Anthony Bowens Comments on His Ambassador Work for AEW Being ” It’s Really Cool That I Get To Be A Face Of The Company Like This”

DC 101’s Mike Jones held a recent interview with Anthony Bowens. One of the topics discussed included Bowens’ thoughts about the ambassador work he does for AEW outside of the company.

“That is part of what being The Pride Of Professional Wrestling is. It’s not just because of my sexuality — it’s a clever play on words, but it’s legit. I do everything for this company, I do everything for this business. I know baseball might not be part of it, that’s a personal passion but I make sure that I manage everything to make sure I fly the AEW flag as much as I can.”

Bowens also gave his thoughts about his “boots on the ground” work he does for AEW at outside events.

“It’s a lot of boots on the ground type work because I do a lot of these. I was just at the Michael movie premiere this past Monday. It’s a lot of boots on the ground of hey, you’re a wrestler, do you work for the other company? No, no, no. This is AEW. We’re on HBO Max, we’re on TNT, we’re on TBS, let me tell you a little about it. Whether they watch it or not, I don’t know. If I get one out of every 20 people, that’s great because it’s one other person watching the product. I’m doing my job. I always was taught and told that in order to be a world champion, in order to be a superstar, you need to be a guy that can wrestle, talk, but also can go out and represent the company. I do these media days, I do these red carpet events, I do influencing, I do Major League Baseball, modeling, I do everything. That’s the purpose of this character and I’m trying to get that across on the television show. That’s really what it is and that’s what I love to do. It’s always what I aspired to be and it’s really cool that I get to be a face of the company like this.”
