Vince Russo Addresses Potential WWE Hall of Fame Induction

Vince Russo isn’t just uninterested in the WWE Hall of Fame; the former WWE writer just made it clear he wants nothing to do with it.

The former WWE and WCW writer has long been one of the most polarizing figures in wrestling, known for his creative influence during the Attitude Era and his controversial run in WCW. With many past names eventually getting inducted, the question has always come up: would Russo ever accept the honor?

Speaking on the No Bones About Wrestling podcast, Vince Russo was asked directly about the possibility of entering the Hall of Fame. He didn’t hesitate and shut it down immediately.

“Never. Never, bro. Never. Bro, if I could do it all over again, I would never, ever, ever in a million years get in the wrestling business. It’s a freaking dirty—it’s a dirty business.”

Russo didn’t stop at rejecting the Hall of Fame—he went further, explaining why he views the industry itself in a negative light based on his experiences.

“There’s a lot of slimy people in the business. There’s a lot of bad people in the business. If you’re a regular family guy, it’s not the place to be. It’s not the place to be. So to be in a Hall of Fame—that doesn’t honor me.”

Instead, Vince Russo made it clear that recognition from wrestling doesn’t matter to him at all, pointing to his personal life as the only thing he values.

“What honors me is being a good dad and a good husband and a good son. Those are the things that honor me.”

He then took a shot at the Hall of Fame itself, referencing multiple-time inductees and making it clear he doesn’t see it as something meaningful to him.

“Being in that Hall of Fame where Triple H is in five times and Ric Flair is in four times and Stephanie McMahon is given an hour speech—bro, no thanks. Not interested.”

Bottom line—Vince Russo isn’t waiting for a Hall of Fame call, and if it ever comes, he’s already made his answer clear. For him, the business doesn’t hold that kind of value anymore, and neither does its biggest honor.
