This week, in the statistical universe of girls’ lacrosse, we are noticing a two-player race for top honors in goals scored. Madi Pharr is a senior at Aiken (S.C.), and she has committed to Converse College. Aiken is in the quarterfinal round of the state Class 4A tournament, taking on longtime power Charleston Bishop England (S.C.) for a berth in the last four.
One goal behind Pharr is Mary Rangel, a senior at San Jose Notre Dame (Calif.). She has committed to Lewis & Clark College, a side which is playing its inaugural Northwest Conference Tournament today against Whitman College.
