Friday May 1 marks the beginning of rookie mini camp for the Green Bay Packers. Among those in attendance, surprisingly, is free agent veteran wide receiver Chase Claypool, who the Packers are hosting for a tryout. He has not played in the NFL since 2023 and is attempting to make a comeback. He turns 28 years old in July.
Of course, there are not many veterans present in Green Bay for this camp. The majority of the players there are the Packers’ drafted rookies, those they signed as undrafted free agents, and other undrafted players who have been invited to try out for the team.
As they kicked off camp on Friday, Green Bay announced which of these players they had already signed.

Per the team, Green Bay has signed the following five of their draft picks:

- Dani Dennis-Sutton
- Jager Burton
- Damoni Jackson
- Trey Smack
The only pick that Green Bay has yet to sign is second-round cornerback Brandon Cisse, who was the Packers’ first pick since they did not have a first round selection this year. Despite not having signed his contract yet, Cisse is present at rookie mini camp.
Additionally, the Packers announced the signing of 10 undrafted free agents:
- Dylan Barrett (OL)
- Dyron Drones (QB)

- Nyjalik Kelly (Edge)
- Murvin Kenion (Safety)
- RJ Maryland (Tight End)

Also present for a tryout with the Packers is Isaiah Jacobs, the younger brother of Green Bay’s Pro Bowl running back, Josh Jacobs.
Rookie mini camp only lasts two days, but this will be the first time that Packers coaches get to work with their new rookies and get them started on the rest of their off-season program.
