Ridge Holland is speaking openly about how his WWE run ended, and he made it clear he stands by what he said — even if it cost him time on his contract.
Last October, Holland revealed that WWE had decided not to renew his contract, which was set to expire the following month. After sharing his frustration publicly on social media, the situation escalated. According to Fightful Select, those posts ended up speeding up the timeline on his departure, leading to WWE cutting ties with him earlier than planned.
While speaking with Sportshadow Wrestling, Holland addressed the situation directly and took responsibility for how things played out. He explained that his contract was already coming to an end, so his future with WWE had effectively been decided before he posted anything online.
After reflecting on the situation, Holland admitted that his comments did lead to his contract ending sooner than expected, but he made it clear that he still stands behind what he said at the time.
“I mean, the contract was going to not be renewed anyway, so, either way I wasn’t going to be working for the company. Yeah, the comments that I made on Twitter definitely sped up that process and caused them to terminate my contract two weeks early. So, I own that and I don’t regret what I said, but I own the fact that what I said caused that. I was just speaking how I felt. So, there’s no regret.”
With Holland now moving forward in his career outside WWE, his comments offer a clearer picture of how his departure unfolded and why he has chosen not to walk back what he said.
