Turki Alalshikh requests Terence Crawford return for one fight

Turki Alalshikh has called for Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford to rematch after their first fight in 2025.

Alalshikh has helped stage some of the biggest fights the sport has seen over the last few years, including when he put together Crawford and Canelo’s clash.

In September 2025, the pair finally faced off in the ring, with ‘Bud’ getting the better of the Mexican over 12 rounds.

Alalshikh recently replied to one of Crawford’s social media posts, asking for him to fight the former Mexican champion again.

Crawford posted: “What’s better than being undisputed? Being undisputed two times. What better than being undisputed two times? Being undisputed three times in three different weights.

Alalshikh replied: “We want the rematch with Canelo 😎 maybe it is a chance to be 4.”

Crawford added to his already incredible legacy by becoming a three-weight undisputed world champion, claiming all the belts at super middleweight.

He was in control for the majority of the contest, with the judges scoring the bout 115-113 x2, 116-112.

At times, Canelo showed visible frustration as he struggled to get any real hold of the fight against the better man on the night.

A few weeks after a career-best win, ‘Bud’ announced his retirement from the sport, ending his career with a perfect record of 42 wins.

Since the loss, Alvarez has confirmed his desire to return to the ring and, in his first interview after the fight, called for a rematch when speaking to Ring Magazine.

“We need to run it back… the rematch would be perfect for boxing. But he decided to retire, so I need to accept that.”

Crawford also spoke to The Ring and revealed his disinterest in a return to boxing, suggesting there is very little left that would tempt him back.

“If I were to come back, who would I fight? I have nobody to fight and nothing to accomplish. That would mean that I am just coming back for the sport and money. I never fought for money. I fought for legacy.”
