Jacob Fatu Takes Out Roman Reigns on WWE RAW

The May 4 episode of WWE RAW ended with a heated contract signing between Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu, as their World Heavyweight Championship match for Backlash was made official.

Jacob Fatu Roman Reigns Contract Signing Turns Violent

Reigns opened the segment by addressing the crowd in Omaha and demanding acknowledgment before turning his attention to Fatu. He framed himself as the one who helped open doors for their family, including Solo Sikoa, and said that respect should follow.

Reigns also criticized Fatu’s use of the Tongan Death Grip, calling it a move reserved for desperate situations.

Fatu responded by embracing that label.

He said he is desperate and feels like he is fighting the world alone, adding that he is willing to do whatever it takes to take Reigns’ title and provide for his household.

Contract Signing Leads to Brawl

After both men signed the contract, Reigns made it clear that while they may be equals as family, he sees Fatu as beneath him inside the ring.

That comment triggered the physical confrontation.

Fatu attempted to lock in the Tongan Death Grip again, while Reigns fought back and looked to land a Superman Punch. The exchange quickly broke down into a full brawl, with officials, including Adam Pearce, trying to separate them.

Fatu Stands Tall to Close RAW

Fatu ultimately gained control of the situation, countering Reigns and driving him through the contract table to close the show.

Officials rushed in to hold Fatu back as Reigns was left down, giving Fatu momentum heading into their championship clash at Backlash.

The segment firmly established the intensity of the rivalry, with Fatu positioning himself as a serious threat to Reigns’ title reign.

With tensions escalating and both men making their intentions clear, their match at Backlash now carries even higher stakes.
