Ridge City FC Women clinch GARFA FA Cup title after thrilling 3-2 win • Sahara Football

Ridge City FC Women were crowned champions of the 2025/26 Greater Accra Regional Football Association (GARFA) Women’s FA Cup after edging Epiphany Next Generation Ladies 3-2 in a pulsating final at the Madina Zongo Astro Turf on Saturday May 2, 2026.

The highly competitive encounter lived up to expectations, with both sides displaying attacking intent and determination. Epiphany Next Generation Ladies threatened early, but Ridge City responded with resilience and composure, capitalizing on key moments to secure victory in a fiercely contested match.

Ridge City’s triumph caps off an impressive FA Cup campaign marked by dominant performances. They opened their run with a commanding 7-0 victory over Accra Christ Angels in the Round of 16, before dispatching Blessed Ladies 6-1 in the quarterfinals. In a dramatic semifinal clash, Ridge City played out a thrilling 4-4 draw with El-Wonder Ladies before holding their nerve to win 5-4 on penalties.

Epiphany Next Generation Ladies also enjoyed a strong run to the final. They defeated Royal Galaxy Ladies 4-1 in the Round of 16 and overcame Teshie Constant Ladies 3-1 in the quarterfinals. Their semifinal victory came via a narrow 1-0 win over Faith Ladies, who had earlier eliminated Cabfix Ladies FC.

Now in its second edition, the GARFA Women’s FA Cup continues to grow in stature. In the inaugural competition, Oaks FC, now a Women’s Premier League side, lifted the trophy after defeating Teshie Constant Ladies 4-3 on penalties following a goalless draw.

Ridge City FC Women’s latest success not only highlights their quality but also reinforces the increasing competitiveness of women’s football within the Greater Accra Region.
