If you’re a descendant of Roderick Toombs, chances are that you have the fighting spirit in you. From his humble days as an amateur boxer to headlining the first WrestleMania as Rowdy Roddy Piper, the Toombs fighting legacy lives on to this day. During WrestleMania weekend, Roddy Piper’s daughter made her Power Slap debut. Aerial Teal Toombs, better known as Teal Piper, stepped into Dana White’s company in a battle against Dani Mo in a Featherweight Match. Here’s how she did.
Roddy Piper’s Daughter Loses Power Slap Debut
Teal “The Wild Child” Piper made her Power Slap debut in Las Vegas on April 19, 2026. This debut was especially emotional, as it was the same day as WrestleMania 42 Sunday, an event her father helped pioneer in 1985.
Roddy Piper’s daughter came down the aisle with the same bagpipe theme song that accompanied her father for decades. The WWE Hall of Famer’s child had a bright pink mouthpiece brandishing the word: “Rowdy.”
Dani Mo won the coin toss over Teal Piper, leveling the second-generation athlete with a powerful slap. In her father’s fashion, Teal smiled off the attempt and talked trash through her Rowdy mouthpiece. When Teal stepped up to slap, she was hit with a foul for stepping. Like a good heel, the athlete questioned the referee’s judgment in between rounds.
Dani Mo creamed Teal again in the second round, walking away unflinchingly. Commentators were impressed with Teal’s next slap, empathetically stating that she won that round.
Teal got slapped a third time and, once again, laughed off the attempt. The Wild Child talked trash after the slap and then rocked Dani Mo with another good one.
Unfortunately for the Hall of Famer’s daughter, she received another foul. This time, Teal Piper got dinged for clubbing. As a result, Dani Mo beat Teal Piper in her Power Slap debut.
Teal Piper Has Good Showing In Power Slap Despite Loss
Although Teal Piper lost her Power Slap debut, it was on a technicality. She received two fouls for her three attempts. Her only clean round was considered the strongest slap between the two women.
In addition to her strong slapping abilities, Teal was unrocked. Roddy Piper’s daughter laughed off each attempt. So, if she can learn the rules, Teal Piper could become a force in Power Slap.
While Teal’s loss capped off WrestleMania weekend, a former WrestleMania star kicked off festivities with his Power Slap debut. Two days before Teal stepped up to the plate, Jake Hager had his first of six Power Slap matches. Jake Hager defeated Devin “Big Jinxx” Jenkins by stoppage in the third round.
Teal Piper’s Wrestling Background
Power Slap isn’t Teal Piper’s first foray into fighting. The Wild Child first cut her teeth almost a decade ago in WOW Women of Wrestling. She worked closely with Tessa Blanchard and Selina Majors to develop her in-ring skills.
Teal Piper would also be a part of the first-ever AEW All Out in 2019. The second-generation talent competed in the Casino Battle Royale. The daughter of Roddy Piper took a break from the ring to pursue acting.
During her off-time from the ring, Teal started working with Ronda Rousey in the ring. Ronda selected Piper’s daughter to help her get back into ring shape for her 2020 WWE return.
Ronda Rousey and Teal Piper developed a strong friendship over the years. That’s why the Toombs family gifted Rowdy Ronda one of Roddy’s coats to wear to the ring.
Teal also seemed to have taken Ronda Rousey’s approach to working with Tony Khan. She’d make a brief return to Tony Khan’s promotions in 2023. In January, Teal Piper teamed with Kel in a losing effort to Tay Melo and Anna Jay during an episode of Dark.
Teal Piper made her ROH debut (and only match to date) almost six months later. The Hot Rod’s daughter lost to Diamente.
