This Current WWE NXT Wrestler Is Worried About Being Fired

WWE NXT wrestler Kam Hendrix has opened up about his fears of being released by WWE amid the company’s ongoing roster cuts.

A newer addition to WWE NXT television, Hendrix quickly made an impression by targeting both NXT North American Champion Myles Borne and NXT World Champion Tony D’Angelo, bringing a fresh presence to the roster.

In a newly released WWE video previewing the upcoming episode of WWE LFG, Hendrix candidly discussed the pressure he feels about securing his future in the company and the possibility of being let go if WWE believes he is not developing fast enough. He said,

“Every day, even before filming LFG, I felt like the clock was ticking on me. I know this place has a time limit and nobody can stay here forever. Everything I’ve ever worked for can be taken away from me.”

He continued by acknowledging the competitive and unpredictable nature of the wrestling business. He said,

“If you’re not evolving as a Superstar or growing as a character, anyone can be released. Anyone can be cut for any reason. At the end of the day, this business is subjective. Nobody is entitled to anything — you have to earn everything.”

Hendrix shared those concerns after fellow prospect Drake Morreaux was sent to AAA in Mexico rather than being moved up to the NXT roster.
