G2 Minnesota were the winners of the Call of Duty League 2021: Stage 5 Major. And they took home a pretty decent $200K in prize money. Okay, it might be a bit of an older result, but it’s still a testament to the team’s skills and experience.

 

About the Tournament

The tournament follows a global event format which brings 12 Call of Duty League teams to compete for 20,000 USD in total prize money which teams will receive based on their final standings. The matches were played from April 24, 2026 to April 26, 2026. The tournament structure involves 12 CDL teams whose seeding will depend on their total points earned from both Majors at the conclusion of the second major. The competition uses a single elimination format which results in team eliminations after they experience their first defeat. The tournaments implement a Best of 5 series which creates a more intense atmosphere that requires teams to show consistent performance in order to advance through the bracket. Besides winning money, teams also garner CDL points depending on their end results in the tournament. The victorious team is awarded 30 points and the team coming in second place is awarded 20 points. Third-place and fourth-place teams are awarded 10 points each. They are significant to the general ranking of the league’s overall, and the future tournament seeding and thus the Stage 3 Minor is an important event that all the participating teams will need to have.
