Update On Big E’s WWE Future After Recent New Day Release — REPORT

The WWE Universe is still reacting to Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods’ departure, and now a new report has revealed the future for their longtime New Day teammate, Big E.

A few days ago, Kingston and Woods parted ways with WWE after reportedly failing contract negotiations with WWE and TKO. The shocking exits ended one of WWE’s most popular factions and left many fans wondering if Big E would also step away from the company.

Big E’s WWE status revealed after recent release of The New Day

According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, Big E is expected to stay with WWE in his current role on kickoff shows and analyst panels.

WWE reportedly still sees Big E as an important part of its programming. He has become a familiar face on PLE kickoff panels and post-show coverage over the past few years, and the company reportedly values his presence in that role.

Big E moved into broadcasting after suffering a serious neck injury in March 2022. The injury kept him out of the ring for years, and in February 2026, he officially announced his retirement after doctors warned that returning to wrestling would be too dangerous.

But even after retiring, Big E has remained active. Along with appearing on kickoff panels, he has represented WWE at charity events, media appearances, and community programs like Make-A-Wish events.

There is currently no update on the length of Big E’s WWE contract, but his continued role also gives fans a connection to The New Day, even after Kingston and Woods’ departures. Big E spent more than a decade alongside them.

Big E also had major success as a singles star during his career. He became NXT Champion in 2013, won the WWE Championship in 2021, and also won the Intercontinental title twice.
