A day ordeal will be held on Monday for the captains Babar Azam and Shan Masood in conjunction with other senior players to determine future prospects for Pakistan cricket as convened by PCB. The conference called “Strategic Connection Camp” has been organized by Pakistan Cricket Board at a local hotel situated in Lahore. Presidents Babar Azam along with Shan Masood are among those who are invited together with some senior cricketers including Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Rizwan, Saim Ayub, Salman Ali Agha, Saud Shakeel, Shadab Khan and Shaheen Shah Afridi.

National team head coaches such as Jason Gillespie and Gary Kirsten will also attend the meeting besides assistant coach Azhar Mahmood while David Reid serves as the High-Performance specialist.

In a statement, PCB Chief Mohsin Naqvi stated that “our goal is to recognize main problems, encourage transparent talk and mutually agree on a tactical way ahead in order to change Pakistan cricket successfully.”

“The Connection Camp marks a crucial initial step in bringing together our methods of rejuvenating Pakistan cricket back to its past glory”. Our goal is to identify key issues, create a forum for unhindered conversation and agree on a collective strategic course of action.

“It is hoped that this meeting, which is a follow-up to previous interactions with former cricketers, may yield strategies anchored on results,” said PCB. This will result in better player management and enhanced team performance levels.”
