NASCAR Communications – Watkins Glen International announced this evening
that the 2027 NASCAR race weekend will take place in September and will
play a key role in deciding next year’s NASCAR Cup Series champion as
part of The Chase.
We were proud to share the news directly with our passionate fans who
make The Glen so special at tonight’s Camper Welcome Party.
The move back to a late season date brings the historic track’s race
weekend back to its traditional time frame and will be a welcome
addition as a road course race in The Chase next year.
More details will be announced later this year regarding the exact date
and which series will accompany the NASCAR Cup Series on the race
weekend.
