- Nacon Revosim Initiale 5 Nm wheelbase breaks cover
- Will be PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S compatible
- Release expected ‘around the summer’ 2026
It’s been a busy time for Revosim over the last 24 hours. Not only has it launched an officially branded Aston Martin Aramco F1 Team Rim, but it’s also fleshed out its range of RS Pure sim racing peripherals, adding the RS Pure Hybrid Shifter, Load Cell Handbrake and Clutch Pedal.
On top of that, the Nacon-owned brand has given us the first glimpse of its upcoming console-compatible RS Initiale DD Wheel Base, which is set to be licensed for both Xbox and PlayStation (as well as PC).
The Initiale is designed as an entry-level alternative to the 9 Nm RS Pure and features a slightly lower-profile design.
As can be seen from the images, it also has a different wheel hub design from the modular RS Pure Wheel Hub, with two extra buttons moved above the centreline and a rejigged placement of the funky switch and rotary encoder. An accompanying pedal set is also thought to be in the works.
The RS Initiale will produce 5 Nm of torque when unveiled, while its PlayStation compatibility puts it into a narrow band of competitors, including Fanatec, Thrustmaster and Logitech. In Traxion’s opinion, more competition in this rarefied marketplace can only be a good thing for sim racers.
A release date for the Revosim RS Initiale has yet to be announced. However, earlier this year, Sébastien Waxin, Head of Racing at Nacon, stated that we could expect it to appear ‘around the summer [2026].
