George Campbell is walking away with at least one club award from his first West Bromwich Albion season.
Campbell’s sensational strike against Sheffield United was voted Goal of the Season by West Brom supporters and fans, the club announced Friday. The goal was Campbell’s third in a total of four that he scored in his first season for the Baggies.
Campbell picked up a loose ball before stroking home a stellar long-range shot, helping James Morrison’s squad earn one point at Bramall Lane. The road draw would spark a 10-match unbeaten run that helped West Brom confirm league safety in the EFL Championship after a disappointing first half of the season.
The 24-year-old Campbell made 41 appearances for West Brom in all competitions this season, adding two assists to go along with his four goals scored. A former MLS defender with Atlanta United and CF Montreal, Campbell has quickly adjusted to life in England’s second-tier, becoming a key figure in Morrison’s squad.
Campbell and West Brom will now head into their summer break before the 2026-27 league season begins in August.
