Paige Collett isn’t hiding from the reality of where her wrestling career stands anymore — and now she’s aiming for a completely different legacy inside the business.
During her appearance on the JCW post-show, Paige opened up about how injuries forced her to rethink her future in wrestling. While many fans still know her for the chaotic Ring Rat character in JCW, she admitted her long-term focus has shifted away from being a full-time wrestler and toward becoming one of wrestling’s top managers.
As she reflected on her career journey, Paige explained that she’s accepted where her body has left her physically, but she still believes there’s a major place for her in the industry through promos, character work, and storytelling.
“I’ve already accepted that I’m a manager. I’ve already accepted that even though I am a professional wrestler, God has crippled me. God, I’m in a manager role and there’s no shame in that and there’s an art and there’s a spot for me in this business that I love.”
That realization eventually led Paige to reveal the exact role model she now wants to follow in wrestling — legendary manager Paul Heyman.
“I really genuinely want to be that female Paul Heyman, so to speak.”
Paige didn’t stop there either. She explained that her new goal is to build a real future for herself through managing talent and becoming an elite on-screen personality instead of focusing strictly on matches inside the ring.
“I want to be that art of a manager and I want to be able to buy a house, provide for myself and make a proper career out of this where — not that wrestling owes us anything — but where I was robbed of a career. I never got to go and explore and have a career.”
The comments gave fans one of the most personal looks yet at Paige outside of the over-the-top Ring Rat persona. While she’s become one of JCW’s breakout personalities through comedy and chaos, it’s clear she sees managing as the path that could give her longevity in wrestling moving forward.
And honestly, with the amount of attention she already commands every time she appears on-screen, Paige becoming a modern-day female version of Paul Heyman may not be as far-fetched as it sounds.
Do you think Paige could become wrestling’s next great manager? Could you see her leading a major faction or top star in the future? Drop your thoughts in the comments and let us know.
