“It’s an EASY pick” – Carl Froch makes Fury vs Joshua prediction

Carl Froch has made his prediction for Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua.

Fury and Joshua have signed their contracts to finally fight each other later this year.

Their long-awaited heavyweight battle is expected to be staged in November, however ‘AJ’ must first overcome Kristian Prenga on July 25 in Riyadh.

Former super middleweight world champion, Froch believes Fury will outbox his rival and claim a points victory when they clash.

“I think it’s an easy pick,” the 48-year-old said on Fight Your Corner.

“I think Tyson Fury wins on points quite comfortably.

“I can see how ‘AJ’ wins.

“But I think ‘AJ’ gets beat on points to Tyson Fury.

“I think he gets outboxed.

“Fury keeps him out the way, manoeuvres him.

“He’s past his best Fury, he’s slowed down, but so has AJ.

“He’s not throwing as many feints per round now.

“He’s not throwing combination punches like he used to.

“He gets hit a lot which gives ‘AJ’ a chance to chin him, but I don’t think he’ll be in the right headspace.

“I don’t think he wants to box anymore.”

‘The Gypsy King’ came out of retirement to outpoint Arslanbek Makhmudov last month and called out Joshua who watched on from ringside.

The 37-year-old could have another tune-up bout before facing ‘AJ’, according to his manager Spencer Brown.

“We probably want another fight before the AJ fight,” Brown said on Instagram.

“A proper warm-up fight and then we’re all ready to go.

“We’ve signed.

“We’re ready to rock and roll.”

Joshua will end a seven-month lay-off when he fights unbeaten Albanian Prenga.

The 36-year-old last fought in December, stopping Jake Paul in the sixth round in Miami.

The two-time heavyweight world champion was involved in a fatal car crash 10 days later in Nigeria, which killed two of his close friends and left him with minor injuries.
