Below are various news, notes and possible spoilers for tonight’s WWE Backlash:
- Former New Day member Big E was expected to be involved in the pre-show. As noted before, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods have left WWE but the company has retained Big E in an obvious non-wrestling capacity.
- There are multiple WWE wrestlers who are backstage but aren’t booked for the show. This is not abnormal as WWE often does this for contingency purposes and not everyone is brought in.
- John Cena’s announcement is expected to be related to Club WWE, the company’s new premium VIP-type experience. While rumors suggested it could also have to do with a WrestleMania location announcement, WrestleVotes reported that is not expected to be the case.
