Seth Rollins Has Doubts He Can Still Compete At A High Level in WWE

Seth Rollins has doubts if he can still compete at a high level in WWE after his loss to Bron Breakker at Backlash.

After losing his match against Bron Breakker at WWE Backlash, Seth Rollins appeared on the post-show. He said he’s not going to make any excuses for his loss and admitted he couldn’t get the job done because he didn’t have enough in the tank.

Big E then brought up Seth Rollins branching out of WWE, analyzing football, and his recent comments about turning 40 this month. He asked if he still has gas left in the tank and if he thinks he’s not the same wrestler he once was.

Fans then erupted in “you still got it” chants. Seth Rollins responded, saying, “The truth is, Big E, and I really appreciate it (the chants), the fact that these people still believe in me, that means the world to me. But the truth is, there were moments in that match tonight and certainly after that match tonight where I had to ask myself those questions.

“I think when you come back from a long layoff, this injury, six months for me, I was out of action with a torn rotator. When you come back, you have this picture in your mind of how things are gonna go. All I was thinking about when I was on the shelf was, can I get back for WrestleMania? I made it back, and I lost, and every single day since that loss, all I have thought about is how can I beat Bron Breakker? Seth Rollins said.

Seth Rollins said hearing the fans’ chant lights a fire in him

“I showed up tonight. I gave it everything I had, and I lost. So I have all those questions, but I tell you, when I hear these people say that you still got it, and I hear them sing my song, it really does light a fire in me, man,” Seth Rollins said. “But the path for me is back to the World Heavyweight Championship. But I cannot do that until I fix the things that are not getting the job done right now.

“So yes, I gotta go back to the lab, I have to re-evaluate, and this is what all great athletes do. There comes a point in your career where you’re not 28 years old, you’re not even 35 years old, you’re not a rookie, you’re 20 years in the game. You’re 2000 plus matches in the game. So I don’t have to be the guy that I was back then. I can be better, I can be newer, I can still be the best,” Seth Rollins said.

Seth Rollins then finished by revealing what’s next for him in WWE after tonight. He said he has two missions: to win back the World Heavyweight Championship that he never lost and to destroy The Vision. Rollins said he’s going to retool, redesign, and come back as the best version of himself to finish what he started with The Vision.
