Lego Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight and Forza Horzion

Upcoming games, Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight and Forza Horizon 6, have gotten into some players’ hands early, as technical fumbles give them access ahead of launch.

Both games seem to have been leaked early due to unencrypted preload, it’s a rather unfortunate coincidence that it happened to two upcoming big games in such proximity.

A Reddit user posted images of Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight running on their setup after they purchased a digital Xbox Series X code from Walmart via the store’s app.

A technical hitch appears to have made it playable immediately after download, even though the game was not officially released until May 22, 2026.

Unfortunate Errors Spoil Blockbuster Games’ Launch

It seems the game’s preload accidentally allowed the whole game to be playable in this case. The Reddit user added to their initial post to say they’d played hours of the game since then, but had disconnected their console from the internet when an update notification appeared, as they feared it might lock them out of the game.

Over on Steam, unencrypted files cropped up again in a Steam update for Xbox Game Studios and PlayGround Games’ Forza Horizon 6, which cracked the game ahead of its full launch on May 19, 2026, and Advanced Access on May 15, 2026.

It’s unfortunate for both games’ developers that their hard work has slipped out early like this. Hopefully, it doesn’t affect their official launches too much.
