Forza Horizon 6: “Strict enforcement” including bans following illicit downloads

Playground Games, creators of Forza Horizon 6, have confirmed a leak for the open-world driving game and that it will take “strict enforcement action” against those accessing it.

Several media outlets reported the apparent availability of the game, such as IGN, earlier today (11th May 2026). It cited Reddit posts, claiming that a version of the title was uploaded without an encrypted preload.

However, this has now been refuted in the official statement:

“We are aware of reports that a build of Forza Horizon 6 has been obtained prior to its release and can confirm this is not the result of a pre-load issue,” it reads, via social media.

It then goes on to explain that players of this particular build could be banned from the Forza franchise.

“We are taking strict enforcement action against any individuals found accessing this build including franchise-wide and hardware bans. We encourage fans to sit tight for the game’s release on May 19.”

Meanwhile, Dexerto is reporting that YouTube content creator DVS Squad has received an account ban until 31st December 9999 for publishing content purportedly captured using the cracked download.

The Japan-set game releases on 19th May, whereas the Premium Edition unlocks on the 15th.
