Montez Ford says Seth Rollins can’t be trusted, and man, is he right.
On Raw, Rollins’ interference helped the Street Profits and Joe Hendry beat The Vision. After Rollins cleared the ring of his former stable, he helped Angelo Dawkins to his feet. But when Rollins turned around, he did nothing to stop Dawkins from taking a spear from Breakker.
If anything, it looked like Rollins used Dawkins as a shield to create an opening to attack his former teammate.
Then, after Rollins superkicked Breakker out of the ring, he trash-talked Breakker instead of checking on Dawkins. A shoving match between Ford and Rollins ensued as Rollins blamed Breakker for Dawkins’ destruction.
Granted, his interference helped the Profits earn a tag title shot against The Vision. However, his motivation was revenge, not friendship. When push came to shove, Rollins couldn’t be bothered to shove Dawkins out of harm’s way, though he clearly had the chance to do just that.
Instead, Rollins put himself first. It’s a pattern of behavior that includes him betraying The Shield and dissolving his friendship with Cody Rhodes — all in pursuit of his own glory.
It’s the reason why the Profits are better off fighting an uphill battle against The Vision than going down a road with Rollins, who’ll leave them stranded without so much as a spare tire once he meets his goals.
