Thekla Comments on Her Decision To Re-Sign with AEW Being a “No Brainer” For Her
A recent episode of TMZ’s Inside The Ring podcast featured AEW Women’s World Champion Thekla as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Thekla’s thoughts about her decision to re-sign with AEW this past April.
“What made this the right move? I think AEW is the perfect fit for me. When boss man asked me, ‘Would you mind staying with us for a little longer than we originally said?’ I was like, ‘Hmm, yeah. If the circumstances are right and allow it for me to feel lucrative enough, I’m definitely thinking that could be a very cute idea.’ It’s great. Honestly, no brainer. I love TK. I love working with him. I love his energy backstage. All the girls are nice. The locker room is quiet and peaceful. I love my job. It’s cute. I don’t think the grass is greener anywhere else because I’m sitting in a fucking flower garden,” she said.

Paul Wight Comments on His Acromegaly Diagnosis & Being Told By His Doctors He Wouldn’t Live Past 45 Without Surgery
A recent episode of the High Performance podcast featured Paul Wight as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Wight’s thoughts about him being diagnosed with acromegaly during his time in university.
“I was 19. I went my whole life. … I thought I was just gifted because I had incredible endurance. I ate whatever I wanted. I could run all day, [be] strong and all that. Then, I went to Wichita State, and the doctor there had worked at the Mayo Clinic and was familiar with. He looked at my hands, and there’s different things. Like the roof of my mouth is very high, jawline, sinuses, and stuff like that.
He says, ‘I think you have acromegaly.’ I’m like, ‘What?’ Then, within a week, I was at the Mayo Clinic, and they’re telling me they got to do this pituitary surgery. What, I had a tumor? This is why I’m this way? … I would have been big anyway. I would have been probably 6’7″, 6’8″, anyway, because my family’s big. … I got the benefits of it, but I didn’t have a lot of the trauma that a lot of people that get acromegaly go through because they weren’t made to be bigger people. So they really got the bad end of the deal for the bone growth and other problems.”
Wight also gave his thoughts about how he almost did not get surgery for it even after doctors had informed him that he wouldn’t live past 45 years old without it.
“That was just a figure that I was told because I almost didn’t get the surgery. They were telling me, ‘Well, if you don’t get this surgery, you’ll probably be dead by the time you’re 45.’ Because this will shut down, this will happen. I remember thinking like, ‘45’s a long time away. I don’t know.’”

Zilla Fatu Comments on Not Being Interested in Signing with AEW If WWE Takes Too Long To Bring Him In
Bootleg Kev held a recent interview with indies talent Zilla Fatu. One of the topics discussed included Fatu’s thoughts about him not being interested in potentially signing with AEW if WWE takes too long to bring him into their company.
“No. I think my heart is with the E.”
Fatu also gave his thoughts about wanting to fulfill his late father Umaga’s legacy in WWE for his reason for only wanting to go to WWE and not AEW.
“Yeah, 100%. So, I’m not going to break that cycle. Not only that, I got unfinished business as far as with my dad’s legacy to fulfill. That’s why. I want to go over there and turn that shit up and at the same time, build my own brand.”
