Kofi Kingston and Austin Creed (Xavier Woods) are headed toward free agency, and there already seems to be a strong belief about where they could land next.
Naturally, many within the wrestling world expect the duo to end up in All Elite Wrestling. The former New Day members have already been announced for appearances at GalaxyCon later this month, and sources indicate that there are additional convention dates lined up that have yet to be revealed. Given their popularity and mainstream recognition, the pair are expected to be major attractions on the convention circuit.
Within AEW itself, support for bringing in Kingston and Creed appears overwhelming. According to a report from Fightful Select, more than a dozen people within the company were unanimously in favor of signing the duo. Typically, at least one opposing opinion surfaces in situations like this, but that reportedly hasn’t been the case in the weeks following their WWE departures.
In addition, several prominent names in AEW are said to be actively pushing internally for the two to join the company. Despite spending their entire careers in WWE, both Kingston and Creed have earned widespread respect from talent across multiple promotions. Still, among those spoken to, the expectation remains that AEW is the most likely destination.
