The NFL announced that the Detroit Lions and New England Patriots will play at Bayern Munich’s Allianz Arena on November 15th, 2026.
Munich has become a frequent destination for NFL games and this contest should actually be a good one (though NFL games in Europe tend to be sloppy) between two legitimate contenders to make the Super Bowl:
For NFL fans in America, it will be another date to note, so they can get up early to watch. For the European fans, it is chance to soak in the Sunday game day experience for the NFL (hopefully minus the fights in the stands).

If you are a fan of the Lions or Patriots, this would be a pretty cool destination game. The party will surely be fun, but what about the grass? In what seems to be a ritual at this point, the pristine Allianz Arena turf is about to get wrecked and replaced (typically not an equitable replacement).
