Hundreds of young athletes all set for 4J District Champs action

Hundreds of young athletes all set for 4J District Champs action

Thursday 14th May 2026

There is a busy weekend coming up for younger athletes at our clubs via the 4J District Champs at two venues.

This year, there are now opportunities for U12, U14 and U16 athletes at the events over Saturday and Sunday.

Kilmarnock is the venue for the West District Champs and Aberdeen stages the North and East District Champs.

With the Inverness track and field facility closed for essential redevelopment work, and with the commitment required by volunteers and Officials to deliver District events, it made best sense to combine East and North at Aberdeen.

Thank you to all athletes who have entered and to coaches, parents and clubs for your support of the 4J District Champs events.

Kilmarnock will play host to around 460 athletes over Saturday and Sunday

Check start-lists (becomes live results) here

Aberdeen will play host to around 360 athletes over Saturday and Sunday

At this stage we say thank you to all our qualified Officials getting ready to help out this weekend and make the events happen at Aberdeen and Kilmarnock.

Please note that our comms from these events is likely to be less than is usually the case for a 4J Districts weekend.

We are committed to coverage from the Loughborough International on Sunday with Scotland competing  and our resources are stretched. Thanks for your understanding.
