New Zealand’s domestic T20 champions will be crowned at the Cello Basin Reserve in Wellington this summer, as the Dream11 Super Smash gears up for a blockbuster Finals Weekend in February 2025. For the first time in the competition’s history, both the men’s and women’s Elimination Finals and Grand Finals will be hosted at a pre-determined venue.
The Finals Weekend, taking place on February 1-2, 2025, will cap off an exciting season of T20 cricket. The tournament schedule, featuring 64 matches—32 men’s and 32 women’s double-headers—across 10 venues in New Zealand, has been released. Fans can catch the action LIVE and free-to-air on TVNZ+ and TVNZ DUKE, with the Grand Finals also being broadcast on SENZ.
Road to the Finals Begins on Boxing Day
The Auckland ACES, defending men’s champions, will kick off their campaign on Boxing Day at Seddon Park, Hamilton, against the back-to-back champions of 2022 and 2023, Northern Brave. The defending women’s champions, the Wellington Blaze, will begin their quest for a ninth title on New Year’s Day, also against Northern Brave at Seddon Park.
Central Otago fans are in for a treat, as Molyneux Park in Alexandra hosts three double-headers in six days, including a New Year’s Eve match featuring the Central Hinds and Stags.
Exciting Summer of Cricket
The Super Smash campaign will run in parallel with the BLACKCAPS’ white-ball series against Sri Lanka, ensuring daily cricket action from Boxing Day until Finals Weekend. Fans can expect appearances from the WHITE FERNS throughout the competition, and as the season progresses, BLACKCAPS stars will return to their Super Smash sides ahead of Finals Weekend before departing for the ODI Tri-Series and Champions Trophy in Pakistan.

Graham Parks, NZC GM of Venues and Events, is excited to bring Finals Weekend to Wellington’s iconic Basin Reserve, known for its strong support of both men’s and women’s Super Smash cricket.
