Joe Hendry Explains How “Can We Fire Logan Paul?” Song Came Together

Joe Hendry is fully leaning into his war with Logan Paul — and now he’s finally revealing how the “Can We Fire Logan Paul?” song was actually created behind the scenes.

While speaking to Chris Van Vliet, Joe Hendry said he was initially writing a song about signing with Monday Night Raw, but he felt the concept was missing something memorable.

“I was working on this song and I just wasn’t really sure what the big hook was going to be. The song was about me signing to Raw. So it started off with the Raw, Raw, Joe Hendry signed to Raw.”

To find inspiration, Joe Hendry said he went back and watched recent WWE television. That is when he noticed how loudly fans booed Logan Paul every time he appeared. So, he decided he had to go straight after the Maverick.

“If I’m struggling with an idea, I’ll watch the previous week’s TVs. Anytime I saw Logan about to speak, the audience would just… there’d be so many boos. So I was like, right, I have to go straight after Logan. Sorry, Logan.”

Joe Hendry explained that his goal is always to create songs that fit the current storyline while also giving the audience something simple and catchy to chant along with.

“You want to say something that’s relevant to what you’re doing and the story and who you’re working with. But you also want the audience to be able to sing along. When you nail it, you know you’ve nailed it.”

He also shared some behind-the-scenes details about filming the music video, revealing that he originally made the Logan Paul mask himself but accidentally left it at the hotel. WWE’s props department quickly stepped in to recreate everything he needed.

“When I made the Logan Paul music video, I actually cut the mask out and made it, but it was back at the hotel. The props team made another mask… in like ten minutes or something. They made the little fake Pokémon card that he had around him in like five minutes.”

Hendry released the official “Can We Fire Logan Paul?” music video on May 5, 2026, one day after Raw. The video featured a battered Logan Paul cutout, scenes outside Adam Pearce’s office, and several visual jokes tied directly to Paul.

The song first caught on during Hendry’s main roster debut on the April 27 episode of Raw, where fans immediately embraced the chant. What began as a song about Hendry signing to Raw quickly evolved into a full-blown musical shot at Logan Paul once Hendry recognized just how strongly the audience was reacting to him.
