Tony Khan Addresses Future of AEW Action Figures After Jazwares Layoffs

Tony Khan is finally addressing the uncertainty surrounding All Elite Wrestling’s action figure future, and his response suggests collectors may not need to panic just yet.

During the ROH Supercard of Honor 2026 Media Call, Dave Meltzer asked Khan directly about AEW’s relationship with Jazwares following reports that the entire AEW-focused team at the company had been laid off.

Khan did not confirm or deny the reported layoffs, but he made it clear that action figures remain an important part of AEW’s business and hinted that a beneficial change could be on the horizon.

While he declined to provide specific details, he suggested that something may be developing behind the scenes that could ultimately benefit AEW’s toy line. Khan then stopped short of elaborating further, but he acknowledged that Meltzer’s question may be pointing in the right direction.

This comes after wrestling figure reporter Kyle Peterson said he had learned that the entire AEW team at Jazwares was laid off. Peterson suggested that the long-running partnership was effectively over, leading many collectors to worry that the AEW figure line could be finished.

“Let’s start off with the worst news that could possibly come through. If you’re a fan of AEW and Jazwares, late Friday I got word that, unfortunately, the entire AEW Jazwares team over there at Jazwares were laid off on Friday.”

Khan’s comments now paint a different picture. While the current relationship with Jazwares may be changing, he made it clear that AEW still views toys as a significant part of the company’s business. For now, the future of AEW figures remains uncertain, but Tony Khan’s remarks suggest that collectors could be seeing a new direction rather than the end of the line.
