DANIEL DUBOIS STOPS FABIO WARDLEY TO WIN THE WBO TITLE – VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS
Manchester, UK (May 14th, 2026)– Daniel Dubois defeated Fabio Wardley by 11th-round technical knockout (TKO) on Saturday, May 9, 2026, to capture the WBO heavyweight championship in a brutal, pulsating showdown at the Co-op Live Arena in Manchester, England.
The fight began disastrously for Dubois, who was dropped by a massive Wardley overhand right just 10 seconds into the first round. Wardley dropped Dubois a second time in Round 3 with another overhand right, leaving the challenger on shaky legs.Dubois showed tremendous resolve, regaining composure behind a heavy left jab and punishing right-hand counters.
By the late rounds, Wardley was taking severe punishment. His nose was badly broken and bleeding heavily, and his right eye was swollen completely shut.
Despite checking with the ringside doctor twice in the late frames, Wardley refused to go down. Referee Howard Foster stepped in to mercifully save him 28 seconds into the 11th round as Dubois pushed a defenseless Wardley into the corner.
