Indi Hartwell is staying with TNA Wrestling after recent television storylines heavily teased uncertainty surrounding her future with the company and whether her contract situation could turn into a bigger issue.
During the May 14 episode of TNA iMPACT!, Santino Marella revealed that Hartwell has officially re-signed with TNA, putting an end to the recent speculation. The company had been leaning into Hartwell’s contract status on television over the past couple of weeks.
On the April 30 episode of Impact, Hartwell and Santino were reinstated after being suspended by Daria Rae following an altercation involving Channing Lorenzo and Arianna Grace.
During that same storyline, Daria Rae directly warned Hartwell that her TNA contract was coming up soon and told her she should “tread lightly,” which immediately got fans online wondering whether the company was setting up a real departure angle.
Instead, TNA used this week’s show to reveal Hartwell isn’t going anywhere. Hartwell originally arrived in TNA following her WWE release and quickly became one of the promotion’s most recognizable recent additions thanks to her previous NXT success and strong fan support.
At this point, TNA clearly sees Hartwell as an important long-term part of the Knockouts division moving forward.
