Chelsea will aim to put their recent bad run of form behind them when they face Manchester City in the FA Cup final on Saturday.
The Blues have been in woeful form in recent months and are without a win in seven Premier League matches, although they did end a six-game losing run in the competition by drawing 1-1 against Liverpool on Saturday.
Caretaker head coach Calum McFarlane guided his side to an impressive 1-1 draw against City during a previous interim spell in charge of the Blues, and the Englishman will hope to repeat the trick this time around.
Ahead of the game, it has emerged that Chelsea are stepping up their interest in a Premier League midfielder.
As per TEAMtalk, the west London outfit are exploring a move for Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott this summer.
The report claims that the Blues are on the hunt for a midfielder and have identified the 22-year-old as a ‘serious candidate’ ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.

Scott joined the Cherries from Bristol City back in 2023 ad has since made a huge impression on the south coast.
In total he has made 88 appearances for Bournemouth across all competitions, scoring six goals and registering five assists.
The midfielder’s impressive displays for Andoni Iraola’s side have also put him in the frame for the England squad, with the report suggesting that it is now quite likely that the player will be included in Thomas Tuchel’s squad for this summer’s World Cup in the United States.
Scott’s contract with Bournemouth is set to run until the end of the 2027/28 campaign, but it appears that Chelsea could attempt to lure him away from the south coast this summer.
