Nikola Jokic will once again be in the spotlight Sunday night when the NBA officially announces the winner of the 2025-26 Most Valuable Player award before Game 7 between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Detroit Pistons.

The Denver Nuggets superstar is seeking the fourth MVP trophy of his career after another dominant regular season in which he averaged a triple-double for the second consecutive year.

Jokic finished the season averaging 27.7 points, 12.9 rebounds, and a career-high 10.7 assists across 70 games, continuing one of the most productive stretches by any center in NBA history.

The other finalists for the award are reigning MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Victor Wembanyama.

Gilgeous-Alexander guided the Oklahoma City Thunder to a league-best 64 victories while averaging 31.1 points per game.

Meanwhile, Wembanyama posted 25.0 points, 11.7 rebounds, and 3.1 blocks for the San Antonio Spurs after also winning Defensive Player of the Year.

The MVP announcement will air Sunday at 7:30 p.m. ET on Amazon Prime.
