Five players will make their full Great Britain debuts this afternoon as they were awarded their first caps ahead of this afternoon’s World Championship-opener against Austria at the Swiss Bank Arena.
Travis Brown becomes the 437th player to ice for GB, followed by Jack Hopkins (438), Brad Jenion (439), Mat Robson (440) and Liam Steele (441).
The five players were awarded their caps in the locker room during a special pre-game ceremony which was led by a speech from Great Britain General Manager Andy Buxton.
Ice Hockey UK General Secretary Andy French was on hand to present the cap to each individual player.
GB start their Group A campaign at 12:20 this afternoon (11:20 BST) against Austria, followed by matches against USA, Hungary, Switzerland, Finland, Latvia and Germany.
