Most Valuable Promotions hosts their first MMA event this evening in LA, an 11-bout fight card headlined by Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano.

Rousey (12-2 MMA), a former UFC bantamweight champion, will be competing in mixed martial arts for the first time in nearly 10 years this evening. ‘Rowdy’ most previously fought in December of 2016 at UFC 207, where she suffered a first-round TKO loss to Amanada Nunes.

Meanwhile, Gina Carano (7-1 MMA) has not competed in MMA since 2009, where she suffered her lone career loss at the hands of Cris Cyborg by way of first-round TKO. The 44-year-old picked up her most recent MMA victory in May of 2008, where she defeated Kelly Kobold by way of unanimous decision.

Diaz (21-13 MMA) most previously competed in mixed martial arts at UFC 279 in September of 2022, where he scored a fourth-round submission victory over Tony Ferguson. That triumph was proceeded by back-to-back losses against Leon Edwards and Jorge Masvidal respectively.

Meanwhile, Mike Perry (14-8 MMA) will be competing in mixed martial arts for the first time since suffering a unanimous decision loss to Daniel Rodriguez in April of 2021. Since then, ‘Platinum’ has turned his attention to Bare Knuckle Fighting, where he has gone a perfect 6-0 under the BKFC banner.

Also featured on tonight’s Netflix fight card is the highly anticipated return of Francis Ngannou who will be taking on Philipe Lins.

Ngannou (18-3 MMA) most previously competed in MMA in October of 2024 under the PFL banner, where he earned a first-round knockout victory over Renan Ferreira. Prior to that, ‘The Predator’ had successfully defended the UFC‘s heavyweight title with a unanimous decision win over Ciryl Gane at UFC 270.

Meanwhile, Philipe Lins (18-5 MMA) was last seen in action in March of 2024 at UFC 299, where he scored a unanimous decision win over Ion Cutelaba. ‘Monstro’ will enter tonight’s contest sporting a four-fight winning streak, a stretch which includes a knockout win over Ovince Saint Preux.

If that wasn’t enough to get you interested, tonight’s MVP MMA main card lineup is kicked off by a heavyweight bout between Junior dos Santos and Robelis Despaigne.

Dos Santos (23-10 MMA), a former UFC heavyweight champion, will be returning to mixed martial arts for the first time since scoring a second-round TKO victory over Alan Belcher in March of 2024. Prior to that triumph, ‘JDS’ was coming off a split decision win over Fabricio Werdum in 2023.

Meanwhile, Robelis Despaigne (5-2 MMA) will enter tonight’s bout with hopes of snapping a two-fight losing skid. ‘The Big Boy’ has suffered decision losses to Austen Lane and Waldo Cortes-Acosta in his most recent MMA appearances. Prior to those setbacks, the 37-year-old had gone 5-0, with all five wins coming by way of first-round knockouts.
