Forza Horizon 6 launches with over 550 cars today for Premium Edition owners, but the roster will expand next week with the return of the Festival Playlist.
Between 21st May and 18th June, completing weekly challenges in the ‘Welcome to Japan’ series will award up to 10 free cars. Like in Forza Horizon 5, these will include two seasonal reward cars each week, with two additional cars unlocking at the end of the series.
Headlining the reward cars in the first week is the 2008 Mazda Furai, unlocked by earning 60 Festival Points.
Powered by a modified, 450-hp, rotary Wankel engine, the concept car returns from Forza Motorsport but will make its Forza Horizon debut. Uniquely, its three-rotor rotary engine was powered entirely by ethanol.
The Furai will be joined by the 2010 Nissan 370Z, the replacement for the 350Z powered by a 3.7-litre V6. Returning from Forza Horizon 5, it can be unlocked by earning 120 points.
Summer’s ‘Welcome to Japan’ Festival Playlist will feature two reward cars, obtainable between 21 and 28 May: the 1999 Toyota Altezza RS200 Z EDITION and 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX MR, requiring 20 and 40 points, respectively.
The Altezza RS200 is the Japanese domestic version of the first-generation Lexus IS 1999 Toyota Altezza RS200 Z EDITION and appears to be remodelled for Forza Horizon 6.
In Autumn, earning 20 points between 28th May and 4th June unlocks the 1997 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec, while earning 40 points unlocks the 1991 Honda CR-X SIR.
Taking place between 4 and 11 June, Winter’s playlist sees you unlock the 2019 Subaru STI S209 for 20 points and the 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser Arctic Trucks AT37 for 40 points.
Finally, the Spring season includes the 1996 Toyota Starlet Glanza V and 1974 Toyota Corolla SR5, unlocked at 20 and 40 points, respectively, from 11-18 June. The Corolla SR5 was last seen in Forza Horizon 4, while the Starlet Glanza V will make its Forza debut.
