Mannheim, Germany (May 16th, 2026) – Unbeaten German heavyweight prospect Viktor Jurk, 14-0 with 12 knockouts, from Flensburg, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, is a candidate for heavyweight prospect of May 2026. Jurk scored a controversial first-round knockout of 13-3 Edwin Castillo of Bogota, Colombia, knocking out Castillo at 0:15 of the first round with one left hook to the left side of Castillo’s undefended jaw and chin.

Referee Marvin Garilla tolled the meaningless 10 count with Castillo on his back and out unconscious at 15 seconds of the first round.

The bout took place in the middle of the nine-bout card at SAP Arena in Mannheim, Germany, on Friday night, May 15, 2026. In the main event, 15-2 former world title challenger Paddy Donavan of Limerick, Ireland, probably earned another title shot at International Boxing Federation World champion Lewis Crocker by winning a 12-round majority decision over 26-4 former two-time world title challenger Karen Chudhadzhian of Ukraine. Chudhudzhian got knocked down in rounds six and eight, which made the difference on the scorecards in a close bout fought on neutral territory.
