Aaron Rai’s stunning charge to claim the 2026 PGA Championship has quickly become one of the defining stories of the season, as the understated Englishman surged past a stacked leaderboard to secure his first major title.
Starting the final round within striking distance but far from the spotlight, Rai ignited his challenge with a brilliant eagle on the par-5 ninth before taking command on Aronimink’s demanding back nine.
His closing five-under 65 saw him reach nine-under for the week, finishing three shots clear and etching his name into golfing history.
