The New Orleans Pelicans are hiring former Magic head coach Jamahl Mosley to the same position, according to Shams Charania.
In five seasons with the Magic, Mosley posted a 189-221 record. After struggling in the first couple of seasons, Mosley led the Magic to the playoffs in each of the last three years. After a third straight first-round exit this year, the Magic let him go.
Mosley gets a five-year deal with the Pelicans. He will be tasked with turning things around in New Orleans after the team has missed the last two playoffs. The Pelicans do not currently have a first-round pick in the 2026 NBA Draft to help their rebuild.
