Clarington, ON – The Castrol Victoria Day SpeedFest continued its tradition as the opening weekend on the major event calendar at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP). Half a dozen series joined the action, including the first Canadian visit for USF Juniors and the season opener for the NASCAR Canada Series. Here’s an overview of podium results, with some post-race interviews from the weekend.
NASCAR Canada Series
The NASCAR Canada Series headliner, scheduled for 51 laps, took place on Sunday afternoon. Gary Klutt recorded his second series win on the 11-year anniversary of his first victory. He took the lead from Kyle Steckly in a second overtime in the eventful race, which went for 2 hours and 24 minutes.

FEL Emzone Radical Cup Canada presented by Michelin

The FEL Radical Cup Canada held a 40-minute race each day on Saturday and Sunday. Both races featured close battles at the front of the field in the Pro and Masters classes, with multiple lead changes.
Race One

USF Juniors made its Canadian debut with a trio of 40-minute races, with two on Saturday and one on Sunday.
