Ghanaian midfielder Richmond Darko has signed a contract extension with Thai club Chonburi FC ahead of the 2026/27 football season.

Darko joined Chonburi midway through last season and quickly established himself as one of the club’s most dependable performers in midfield.

His composure, ball-winning ability and tactical discipline made him a key figure in the team’s setup.

The Ghanaian featured in 14 matches across all competitions, accumulating 1,089 minutes during the season.

His performances earned praise from supporters and the technical bench as he played an important role in stabilising the side’s midfield.

Chonburi confirmed the extension in an official club statement, highlighting Darko’s importance to coach Rangsarn Vivatvichaiyok plans for the upcoming campaign.

The club believes the former Ghana youth prospect will continue to play a vital role as they prepare for the new Thai League season.
