Great Britain Hockey is recruiting for an Independent Non-Executive Director
Following his three terms as an Independent Non-Executive Director (INED), Paul Thompson is stepping down from his position this year. Paul has made an incredible contribution to the GB Board and the Performance Groups during his tenure, bringing a wealth of elite performance experience to the sport and he will be greatly missed. In order to allow for some transition GB Hockey is looking to recruit an INED who might be able to join the Board in July, before Paul leaves.
As we head into the LA Olympics, GB Hockey is looking to appoint an INED who will provide constructive support, independent challenge and strategic guidance to the GB Board in delivering our ambition of sustained systemic international success. This is an opportunity to influence performance strategy at the highest level and help ensure our people, pathway and environment are set up to succeed.
With a clear focus on our performance ambitions, we are seeking an experienced and credible Board member to help shape the next phase of our international success. You will bring current experience of providing oversight and strategic guidance within team sports, with a focus on high-performance goals and international success.
The ideal candidate will offer senior-level experience in elite performance, talent development or high-performance leadership, alongside the judgement, curiosity and collaborative style to operate effectively as an independent Board member. A strong understanding of what drives winning cultures, resilient systems and long-term performance capability will be essential.
