AJ Styles Reacts To WWE Bringing Back More Live Events

WWE’s decision to increase its live event schedule this summer is already getting support from inside the locker room, including from AJ Styles.

Last week, WWE officially announced several new live events across the United States for summer 2026 as the company continues expanding its touring schedule again after cutting back heavily in recent years.

The topic was also discussed during WWE’s employee meeting on Tuesday, where WWE President Nick Khan and Triple H explained why the company believes house shows still matter.

During the meeting, WWE management reportedly stressed that non-televised events give younger talent valuable in-ring reps while also allowing the company to test ideas and work in front of different types of crowds. WWE also made it clear they want the shows to feature a balance of rising stars and established main roster names while avoiding overworking talent and increasing injury risks.

AJ Styles later weighed in publicly on the move through a post on Twitter/X, making it clear he believes WWE has finally found the right approach after years of running too many live events.

“This is good news for everyone. WWE was oversaturated with live events at one point. It seems to me that we have found a happy medium.”

WWE significantly reduced its house show schedule after the company merged under TKO, leading to fewer matches and fewer live reps for younger talent throughout the roster. The company now appears to be shifting back toward a middle ground that gives developmental stars more opportunities without returning to the grueling touring schedule WWE once had for decades.

Do you think WWE should continue expanding its live event schedule, or was the smaller schedule better for the roster overall? Let us know your thoughts and feedback in the comments below.
