Dave Allen has announced his next fight days just four days after losing to Filip Hrgovic.
Allen was stopped in the third round against Hrgovic during his homecoming bout at the Eco-Power Stadium in Doncaster on Saturday.
The popular Doncaster native insisted his career wasn’t over and has now revealed he’ll be fighting on June 20 in Rotherham in a four or six round contest.
“June 20th at Rotherham Magna I will be back in the ring,” the 34-year-old posted on Instagram.
“I physically cannot sit and wait to get back in the ring after last week.
“Full transparency it will be a journeyman type of opponent and the rounds will be 4 or 6.
“Ticket prices £50 and £85 ringside but those who came to the fight at the football ground last week or my fights at Skate Central [a] few years ago the tickets will be available at half the prices and with a free drink as I will be putting the money behind the bar for them so message @teamwhiterhino if you wanna come.”

The ‘White Rhino’ suffered a ninth professional defeat against Hrgovic, who is now being lined up for a clash with rising heavyweight prospect, Moses Itauma on August 8.
Allen said post-fight he still harbours hopes of landing a British heavyweight title fight, with the current champion being Richard Riakporhe.
“I just love to box and I wanna enjoy it,” he added.

“And while I imagine and understand a lot won’t be bothered travelling for me doing these smaller fights, I have to rebuild this way to get my head out my arse and get to my final destination.
“One final big fight.”
Hrgovic, who beat a third straight Brit after previous wins over David Adeleye and Joe Joyce respectively, is the number two-ranked contender behind Itauma in the WBO ratings.

The 33-year-old Croat admitted he’d be open to facing the unbeaten 21-year-old.
“[I’ll fight] Moses Itauma, anyone, I’ll have a chat with my team,” he Hrgovic.
“I don’t think there are any cuts. I’ll sign the contract now.
“I will speak to my team first. I will fight any man.”
