Jack Cartwheel Says He’s No Longer Under WWE ID Deal

Jack Cartwheel has officially confirmed that he is no longer part of WWE’s ID program and is now signed full-time with Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide.

Cartwheel was originally one of the first wrestlers announced under WWE’s ID initiative when the program launched in late 2024. Since then, he made appearances on Evolve while also gaining momentum in AAA, where his high-flying style and athleticism quickly started getting attention from lucha libre fans in Mexico.

During an interview with Sports Jedi Network, Cartwheel clarified his current status and confirmed he has fully transitioned away from WWE ID.

“It is safe to say. I’ve asked, ‘Am I allowed to say that I’m contracted to AAA?’ So yes. And no longer WWE ID. I’m full-on AAA now.”

Cartwheel also acknowledged that many fans still believed he remained connected to WWE through the ID system, but said that is no longer the case.

“I do understand people have that idea that I’m still in ID. AAA guy. So I’m really happy about that.”

Cartwheel’s flashy in-ring style has fit naturally into AAA’s lucha libre presentation, and his performances there have helped raise his profile significantly over the past several months. While WWE originally showed interest through the ID program, it now appears AAA has secured him as a full-time talent moving forward.

With WWE and AAA continuing to maintain a working relationship, it will still be interesting to see whether Cartwheel eventually crosses paths with WWE again somewhere down the line.

Do you think Jack Cartwheel made the right move signing full-time with AAA, or should he have stayed connected to WWE’s ID system? Let us know your thoughts and leave your feedback in the comments.
