Ludwig Kaiser found himself in legal trouble Thursday after being arrested in Florida on a battery charge.
Kaiser, whose real name is Marcel Barthel, was taken into custody earlier in the day following an alleged incident in the Orlando area. While details surrounding exactly what happened remain unclear, the situation was said not to involve a domestic-related issue.
The WWE star was later released from Orange County Corrections after posting $1,000 bond at approximately 11:20 PM Eastern.
The timing is notable given Kaiser’s current role on WWE television, where he has recently been performing under the masked El Grande Americano character while continuing to remain connected to Imperium lore.
As of now, WWE has not publicly addressed the arrest or commented on Kaiser’s status moving forward. Kaiser has become one of WWE’s more recognizable international stars over the past several years thanks to his in-ring work, charisma, and growing television presence. With limited information currently available about the alleged altercation, attention will likely now shift toward whether more details emerge publicly — and whether WWE decides to take any action internally.
Do you think WWE should keep Ludwig Kaiser on television while this situation unfolds, or should the company pull him from programming for now? Let us know your thoughts and leave your feedback in the comments.
